BS 101 curved Stairlift

Scoota Mart proud to announce the BS 101 stairlift, designed specifically to go on curved or more complicated staircases; it negotiates bends, landings and corridors with ease. The BS101's slim carriage and rail also makes it suitable for narrower staircases and when folded away leaves plenty of room for other stair users.

The BS101 comes with five color upholstery options of a durable woven fabric, helping the stairlift's chair to best fit your decor. The unit itself is constructed using easy-to-clean plastics and many powder-coated metal parts (not painted parts), making the stairlift resistent to chips and scratches.

Heavy Duty Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs built mainly for outdoor uses are called heavy duty wheelchairs. While those built for indoor uses are called lightweight wheelchairs. The heavy duty wheelchairs may be manual as well as powered. They are capable of riding on almost all surfaces.

The powered heavy duty wheelchairs come in three models - rear wheel drive, mid wheel drive, and front wheel drive wheelchairs. The wheels are usually large and provide a comfortable ride over rough terrain. Their frames are stronger, have higher weight capacity, and have wide seats. They are meant for rigorous use. The manual heavy duty wheelchairs are more popular in hospitals where they need to work more, and carry patients all day long, from one unit to another.

There are some features of heavy duty wheelchairs that differ from the other wheelchairs. The seats are made of durable material, have different width options. The wheel rings are stronger for ride on rough terrain. The frames are strongly built. The footrests and armrests are adjustable to different heights. And above all, they demand less maintenance. Most people prefer heavy duty chairs since they can be used both indoors and outdoors easily.
